You are still raising 60 gallons of water 12 degrees. I would venture to say that the little 50 watt heater is almost always on. A heater of a more appropriate size will be able to maintain the temp with a lot less duty cycles thus extending the life and reducing the electrical usage.

Nice looking tank, I'd jump on it if I were ready. Don't look like it's 60g though..... but I'm sure it is
Damb, I think when I measured it it came out to 57gls? It has a small bow on the front so I guess that is where the other couple gallons comes from??? The tank is almost like a square, maybe like 2.5ftLx2ftHx18D (just a Wild guess from work 
)
