I am seriously tempted to get one. Just imagine keeping a fish that might actually live longer than you do. It would be nice to stare at a 50 year old lungfish when you are 75 years old and the memories of your fish keeping coming back to you...

That would make my short years (when I'm 75) left in existence worth it.

as for the subject of longevity, i'm worry that at 75 i might be too old to feed myself let alone feeding the fish and doing water changes ... it'll be a sad day for both me and the fish
