I think what he meant was if you feel the middle of your tank with your palm does it feel like a bubble like an obessed chick's belly. That is called a bowing effect which is usually caused by improper acrylic thickness on the tank dimension.

So what are the dimensions of the tank? The dimensions that you gave is about 298 gallons.
