Thats kinda cool how it kept its back band on the side of its body at that size useuly there band turns to spots as they grow

I think it's because he's still pretty young. We got him at 5" 5 months ago. We may have been a little guilty of power feeding. He eats everything though. Floating cichlid sticks, masivore delite, tilapia, shrimp, etc. He hasnt had live in about a month though.

Yea my long Nose is the same way I got it in August at 2" he was tiny and its close to 10" now but mines black band has separated in to spots already.

some actually just keep the line. i have a 4 yr old longnose that still has that line. i saw this summer a wild 24"+ lng with the stripe.
