Im at school and i forgot to take pics, ill snap some good ones this w/e. You should be happy:). On the web Surinamensis vary, whether this is due to their collection site or people not ID'ing correctly i do not know. But im convinced mine are LEGIT! Any one else with a Surinamensis, POST IT!! thanks

I could be crazy, but that looks like a crossbred fish. It looks like the Surinamensis pectoral fins, and DEF the tail looks Surinamensis with those spots.
However the head seems very elongated and looks like it has some satanaperca in it.

Like i said i could be 100% wrong but they look like a very nice cross breed.
Either way, those are magnificent looking fish. Ill post mine for you monday, they are only like 3" or so.

Thanks for the pictures!

Josh

The picture that i posted looked elongated because my 60 gal tank has a curve on the edge and the geophagus was there. As you can see, the effect of a curve tank makes the face of the fish elongated. I did not stretch the face:ROFL:

You can see stripes in the rail rather the blotches.

I still believe the fish can vary by where they were originally collected. But yea that looks like a good specimen.

And yea the curve made an illusion. Nice fish.
