FS HENLEI STINGRAYS "BLACK" VERY NICE

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
u start investing thousands on fish.I never medicated rays in the 7 years i have been keeping rays or add lots of salt for that matter and i always had good results.not very many deaths i lost 1 hystrix 2 retics and 2 motoros. The motoros and the hystrix were my fault but the retics were weak when purchased and never ate.

LOL, the amount of money you spend on rays only plays a small part, its about how long, how many and what you do with them. One of the most experienced and knowledgable ray keepers on this forum only keep retics, the cheapest of the family. Does that mean he doesn't know crap about other rays? BTW, just becuase I dont have them now, doesn't mean I've never kept them, I had them before the ban and sold them off once the ban came in. If you've never medicated your rays, then you've obviously been very lucky for 7 years unless you've been buying CB rays...

so true... the price of the ray is irrelevant.

retics maybe harder to keep than leos i think.when you medicate rays you usually end up with a dead ray.I know how to keep my rays just fine i never had to use tons of salt before because like you say most of my rays are captive breed. But i just imported 5 buitifull rays from thialand and only got stupid remarks from you when ever i asked for advice on them because i was new to importing. The flight took 44 hours i never putt 10 lbs of salt in a freshwater tank before never seen the need too.My hybrid henxleo wont eat yet got any suggestions its been in the tank with 9 lbs of salt for a week and still wont eat.

wow, advice is stupid remarks, so maybe I'll start giving out stupid remarks instead. When you medicate something, it's usually to prevent it from dying, not to make it die LOL. You know how to keep rays that have been quarantined for you ahead of time and have been captive bred. If you still want to argue about me giving you "stupid remarks" maybe you should review my posts. You asked what to do, I responded with the answer. It's not my fault you have trouble following instructions. You asked what to do and we just responded. You even pmed me to ask for specific steps on how to do the salting process. In the end what happened...you decide to dump your ray in a bucket full of heavily salted water (shock 1) and then dump it back in your tank after a couple minutes (shock 2) when we specifically said not to have sudden parameter shocks LOL. I'm not even going to bother trying to help with your hybrid, before I let out some more stupid remarks LOL. Wheres Nic when you need him *sigh*.

yes and that ray eats like crazey now.actually someone else suggested salt bath and i tried it.after the 9 lbs of salt did nothing but make my leos start breathing harder.doesnt 9lbs of change the parameter in 300 gallons.dont we use salt in water softners

Like I said, YOU decided to do a salinty shock, everyone told you to do it gradually, that is no fault of ours that your leo is now like this. No one said parameters cant be changed, they just cant be changed suddenly, like in your case. We advised to do a little bit a day with water changes, you decide to add 2 pounds to 300 gallons of water and add the other 7 pounds the next day. Not my fault you don't follow instructions.
