Here in TX, they are all over... store owners are calling them 'Neon Puffers' for the lack of a better term or it's scientific name. Cool little puffers, which I have not seen around in several years!

there are several posts on this forum about these fish over the last few weeks- do a search on MFK- Miles gave me excellent advice for mine
really all the avocados i ever had were great in a comunity i had like 5 of them in one tank and never any fights
They are also commonly called bronze or golden puffers I have a pair in my 10 gallon, by themselves they often nipped eachothers fins but I threw some convicts in there and I think they are now more occupied anyways here is some more info on them

I have one also. I picked him up at a LFS about two months ago. I have been in the hobby for many years and this was the first time I had seen them other than in a book. Mine is pretty quick and loves to eat the fins of my other fish!

Well, I suppose "very rare" is not really that rare
since everyone seems to have one or two. My local fish store carries them every now and then, I've even seen them at petco. Do you know if they are pure fresh water or prefer brackish water?
