Thanks for the help. I agree with what you said in that there are no "regular dats". I don't know too much about Datnoids, but it was a shock to see that term used. I in turn used it sarcastically. These definitely are beautiful fish. Do they grow very quickly?

usually Datnoids are known to grow painfully slowww.

But they can grow kinda fast if fed heavily, big enough tank, and has pristine water.
