FS some kind of puffer (?) SoCal

A local fish store that has a lot of cichlids has this little guy for sale. Suppos its rare so I thought Id post it here. I think it was going for $15 or $20 at about 2-3" long. His eyes/mouth are on the right side of the pic with some nice chompres

That is an Arrowhead (Pignose) Puffer. The Only fully FW Puffer that I know of and one of the most aggressive.

When I went in to the local fish store (The Aquarium in culver city cali.) the guy I always talk to, took me to the tank and let me check him out. He had killed 4 Red Devils that were about 4"ea. He looked like a mean lil SOB.
How big do they get?

ther are many fresh puffers at least 3 in tetradon sp.

I am sure there are other Freswater Puffers, but the ones I am familiar with need at least a small amout of salt added.
