LOL, it's me again. Maybe if I didn't come over so early, I would have thought about picking this up. Have you ever been to Aquarium Adventure, on Golf and Roselle? They have a little section of misc. hardware/fittings for filters. Should I be able to pick up the fittings from there? I know they sell them for the Fluval FX5, but haven't paid attention to the other brands.

If so, consider this sold.

It really depends on how you want to hook this up to your tank. I have another that is connected to standpipes without any fittings. You can either go DIY with supplies from hardware stores or buy genuine parts from manufacturer's website or online sellers such as petsolutions.com

You also know that I've got Eheim 2217s, right? I like these over XPs.

It is no longer available for sale. Why would you want the sand shipped? You can get it from pool supply stores for 5 bucks/50lbs.
