color for one.... False are a little darker. the white portions is grey to smokey color. Also, the stripes are not as pronounced.

after looking at my original photo, it sure does look like a false tirgrinus. The photo was taken on my research photo set up that I use for discus and angelfish that I catch in Peru for my research. They are photo'd out of water and maybe that does something to the colors. In any event, since these are for pick-up only, if people do not like what they see in the tanks, they do not have to take them.
thanks, the 1st picture when you took it outside of the tank, it look like false tc, i just want to be sure when buying it, i think my friend is interested in your three 6 inches TC, i let him know about it.
i didn't meant that way, the first picture he posted look like a false TC, he even admit that picture look like it's a false TC.
it does alittle but its a tig. false tigs have bigger mouth. the color on the false tig like the other guy said its alot more darker then the one in the picture. as to there is rarely any purple color on the false as to true tigs. awesome fishes though wish i had money to pick some up.

i own an 8-9 inch TC, mine look way better than the picture he posted, and the best part about it is that i got it for only 80 buck!
