Unfortunately it's Malaysian driftwood.

Very nice. The wood and the dark substrate reminds of a bog. The plants will add but must say as is looks rather nice .

And I bet the substrate isn't sand from a river in the Amazon either, but the stock is all Amazonian cichlids

Those pieces of driftwood are by far the most amazing I have ever seen. I'm not going to lie, they have amazing character. I am jealous

Got the needle valve and solenoid, also filled up the CO2 tank. Still need some fittings to attach stuff, and I'm also going to build a Rex Grigg reactor thing.

FWIW, I definitely prefer the malaysian driftwood to other options . . . it sinks easily, has great shapes and color, and doesn't rot (IME) . . . but that big piece you've got, wow, that's really nice . . .
