Really, no kidding? I mean I realize they crawl around in the wild on "dry" land but would this kind of shipping be as safe as in water?

Raymond Chan once shipped a 4' marbled eel to me in ~1 gallon of water. It came just fine.
 
If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your eel from? I'm thinking about trying to grow one out but I can't find them anywhere

Got it from my lfs first time I've ever seen it and they only had two. They haven't gotten any since. I got him maybe 8 months ago? He was 10" now he's about 2'

Interesting. I see them at the local fish markets but always dead and sold for food. Never seen any alive and can't locate anywhere to get one. Gotta keep looking. Good luck with the sale

I have no idea how to prepare them or cook them so I've never even bought any. My co worker eats them and he says they are pretty good. If they breathe air maybe I can find one still alive at the market lol
