Damn, I wish I were within driving distance. For anyone who thinks these guys need BW or SW when they're adults, Takifugu obscurus is a true FW species of fugu puffer from the rivers of China and Korea, although most specimens in the hobby are likely from aquaculture.

They are androgynous , ive read somewhere and one of the few takifugus that can
do all range... from pure fresh -brackish to salt.

What? They're hermaphrodites? ;) I know you meant anadromous. Fishbase has them listed as strictly FW. If Pedro's not too expensive for shipping, I might consider plopping this guy in my 360 to fend for itself w/ the big boys.

Edit: Actually fishbase describes them as being anadromous too, but originating in FW rivers of China and Korea:

http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/speciesSummary.php?ID=24264&genusname=Takifugu&speciesname=obscurus

Sorry, my bad.

Wes,

you should try shipping it. Shipping puffer is easy. just need a deep box with lots of air. I shipped a Fahaka before that ended up being in transit for approx 48hrs and was fine.

You know i dont ship... my fingers are so thick that i cant mess with rubber bands.
