my old 4.5inch P.Pictus, this fish I had for about 4 1/2 years, only got shot as my Jags startd breeding and would have killed them

You are correct, I have been babysitting for 6yrs LOL
 
we'll if your talking about pimeloddus maculatus when you say spotted pim they get more like 8''-9'' what size tank do you have pictus cats are very active and don't hide much spotted pims tend to be less active when they get bigger but still move alot
 
Right now I have them in a 10 gal. isolation tank. I bought them at wal mart, so I don't trust them yet. They look healthy, but looks can be decieving.

nice cat, reminds me of my old one that died (unknown cause). but i got three little ones now to replace it. they growing out in a 20 cause the fish in my 75 are too big. but anyways i love pictus cats so active like they are on crack 24/7 and they dont get to big so they can be kept in smaller tanks
