Im trying to figure out what the flow rate would be for a full siphon on a 1 inch pipe. Straight drop and only 2 45 degree elbows with and 1 45 degree to direct flow in my sump. It will be on a 180 gallon tank
Anyone with any experience with full siphon?

That will be very noisy

900gph would be very noisy with a traditional durso standpipe.

With a full siphon it should be nearly silent. I run 700 or so through my 1" siphon with my gate valve more than half closed.

I run a bean animal style system of my own with some minor changes, but it's basically the same

Ok thats what i figured. Im going to be running a quiet one 4000 and 6000 so i should be alright. I have a diy 3/8 glass overflow for inside then will make a box for the outside 3/8 or 1/2 inch. Want to put the mechanical filtration in the overflow

i run a fluvial sp6 (3400gph) pump on my 150 gal w/ 55 gal sump...i run 2 full siphon 1" drains and 2 emergency 1'' drains. My full siphon drains are about 30% closed with gate valve and my set up is completely silent.

I was concerned that my drains (tank is drilled to accept 1" bulkheads) would be a limitation. Then I read that using larger plumbing around the bulkhead would increase flow, so I have 1.5" drain plumbing that narrows to the 1" bulkhead then back to 1.5" plumbing into my filter socks.

Now I don't have anything to compare it to nor do I have actual flow rate data, but I can say with certainty that my 2 main drains are flowing way more than the 600 gph each that is the common max gravitational flow prescribed by most sources for 1" drains.

Full siphon is silent, but you just need to make sure the water level in your sump is just higher than where your drains end.

full siphon with gate valves is great for complete silence
