There is a difference. :) African cichlids aren't monsterous as real monster fish! :naughty:

African cichlids are still aggressive. A dominant african cichlid or a breeding pair are still monsters to the other african cichlids. So not so much different. Even kois can also fet up to monster size and feeding an overstocked monster size kois beats any monster feeding out there. Watch the video in youtube and you know what I mean

Yes some african cichlids can be monster too. Example would be an emperor cichlid which can grow to monster size at 39" and can beat up even the most aggressive cichlid out there. There are haps that can swallow other fish half it's size. African Cichlids are actually more aggressive than SA/CA cichlids IMO. There are true monsters out there in the cichlid world but not many are keeping them. Most people prefer the cute, the colorful and peaceful with cartoony looks. :D That's why when they see an overstocked tank full of monster fish, they have a negtive view already because it's not there own style of keeping fish.

I cant believe your going to add two more arrows to that, that would be like me putting 2 oscars in my 55gal with my BGK, peacock eel, 2 JD's, 2Cons, 3 Tiger Barbs, and my pleco, its a great tank I just dont think you should add another 2 arrows
