I agree that a larger more striking piece of wood would look great in between those plants. But I love the floating plant look. I'm sure it helps the fish feel more secure.

Thanks for the comments so far. I have been thinking some of the same things recently about the symmetry and such. Generally, I like the look (so thanks to everyone who has been giving comments), but I kind of feel like it just doesn't look very natural the way it is. Do you like the top of the water plant look though? Like was said, I think it helps the fish feel more secure, but do you like the look that way?
