Yeah that is awesome wood! HOw did you claen it? I'm soaking dry white oak that fell in my yard lat year.

I ran it through the dishwasher twice without detergent. Its worked greag for me as long as you're ok scooping out some little pieces of wood after its finished. I've also used scrubbies that have never had soap on them in the past. The wood has a great angle on it for pinning it down with rock...somehow I was able to get it to stay with just that one piece on the right

I'm thinking about stocking with an oscar as well.. Any other suggestions?

I'm kinda thinking you going to need a pleco in there, I think I'd get a common pleco myself.
