I only feed frozen prepaired foods now. Much cheaper too. Takes me total amount of 30-45 minutes to prepare and feed all of them.

They grow fast if feed with prawn a d mussels. Mine only took 2 years to get to 28" from a 13". Dont get them get addicted on worms especially bloodworms or blackworms. Once addicted to those food you will have a hard time getting them off those. Also you will needa lot of those worms to satisfy the fire eel when it grows to 12"+. Not enough and they will grow slow and if they don't eat they get weak and skinny and die slowly. Best to get them on prawns/shrimps, mussels, pacific smelts and massivore pellets.

How do you feel about earthworms? It is the only thing mine eats at the moment. I haven't had him long nad he has only been eating for about 1-2 weeks.
Hes 12+ and eats 2-3 a day ATM
