JDM or not, that tank is pretty nice. I gotta stop looking at this thread or I'll end up setting up one myself...

I'm going to paint a piece of plexi to use as a backround...black on one side, white on the other. The tank isn't in its permanent and final location, so everything is sitting ghetto just so I have a place to keep the fish.
I thought the point of JDM was to stuff as many fish as possible in a tank.... BUT having a tank that would actually house the fish for their specific size requirements.... Now we have grow out JDM tanks?
This is getting rediculous..... I guess maturitity plays into fish keeping more than i thought.

yea, I just don't like JDM tanks. IMO, a 4x2x2 isn't big enough for pretty much all of your fish, I would never put a ray or dats in a 4x2x2, but I guess thats just me. and your saying your going to double your stock, and put 2 gars in it? Thats just crazy to me. I hope to one day own some gars, but it would only be if I had a big pond or huge tank to put them in.

The fish are healthy, well taken care of and I'm sure filtration is more than enough. ****, you know more than half the people on this site have RTCs in a tank no bigger than a 125g. Besides once all of his fish get too big he can ship them up to me I'll gladly take them

Keep in mind, Japanese Domestic Market... Your basically calling your tank a place where fish are crowded together collecting diseases, parasites, and other sickness. They are not cared for and are only there to serve the purpose of being eaten. The water quaility and comfort mean nothing. I would never be proud to compare my tank to this.
