What are the dimensions?

4ft wide, 7 ft 6 in long, and 2 ft tall. i had it custom 7 ft 6 so i could get it down the stairs since my stairway is in the middle of a hallway.

i almost busted out walls and took out the stairs so i could go bigger:ROFL:

I don't know how inspired you could be over this, ha. It is my first ray tank and I built and painted the frame for the 10g plant tank spillover. The waterfall is a nice idea, I suppose, although mine has a bucket full of biological media messing up the feng-shui.

Is that a DIY plumbing 2 tanks together?

Yes it is! I use an fX5 for the main filtration/circulation in the tank (a bit overkill, I know, but we love stingrays), a Fluval 204 to get water up to the 10g plant tank above, and a bucket to provide a bit of extra filtration (filter floss, 3 nylon bags of ZeoCarb, peat granuals, and zeolite, filter floss, bioballs and then more filter floss). I built the frame for the tank and bucket from 2x4s that I got from Home Depot, spraypainted them, let them cure and set them up there.

The flow from the Fluval 204 is fairly weak because of the amount of vertical distance the water has to travel, but that works out perfect because otherwise it would uproot my plants.

I've been thinking about putting mangroves in there, and building some sort of a canopy to cover the DIY stuff. Now that I have it up, however, I think it looks charming, in that goofy spraypainted-wood kind of way.
