First of all: There is no fully aquatic turtle. Every turtle species needs to have a dry area to lay eggs or to dry off at least once in a while.

Second: Musk turtles will do well in a 265g tank if they are accustomed to the depth and if you provide rocks, logs or something elso to climb to the surface. I have seen stinkpots in Florida springs in 3m depth, no problem for them.

Third: Maybe you want to google for pink belly sidenecks (Emydura subglobosa). They are good swimmers, have a friendly character and look stunning. But don't forget on the land/egg laying area!

Would one of those turtle docks be enough? Essentially a screen that goes in the corner? Or do they need land as in soil and stuff? I realize if you are looking to breed, you need to go all out with soil, but if your not, is a turtle dock enough?

i dont see any turtle species that would work with your tank and situation. unless you dont care about the fish then a smooth softshell or asian softshell would be more than perfect.

yea i rather not it woudl kill all my fish i had one last summer. and put it in a native tank...... not a good idea.....

as long as you dont breed then that should be fine?

Basically, a trutle dock is enough for males, as long as it is big enough to support their weight (which most turtle docks don't do as soon as the turtles hit the 10" mark).

But you need to keep in mind that you should have a basking lamp above the turtle dock to allow the turtle to dry off. This needs at least 50cm of space above your tank, plus you'll need some fencing so the turtle won't fall out of your tank.

actually afro, the Pig-nosed turtle is fully aquatic. it is the only fully aquatic turtle on the planet. it gets very large in size and depending on the individual turtle, it can be either violent towards the others in a tank, or very docile.
