I know your thinking this should go into the reptiles forum, but I figured that was more for animals for terrariums/vivariums and such. I have heard about people keeping fully aquatic turtles on this site. what types are aquarium suitable? what kind of fish can be kept with them? What is some general care info?

FRT's look amazing but are VERY expensive. It isn't uncommon for them to go for at least $300, and thats for a baby. I just keep a red ear slider, he's all the turtle i need.

You have to have a terrarium for a slider though,, correct?

For mine, I just have him in a 10 gallon with the water level about an inch above the filter intake. I have a small piece of floating wood for him to chill out on, other that that he looks really happy. Most people keep turtles in minimal water, but I love watching mine swim all over the tank. Be careful though, turtles are oppourtunistic eaters, and if hungry will attempt to catch tankmates. The pleco I have had in with him has been fine, but if I put a minnow in, he usually eats it within a few days. He's also a great disposal. If a fish dies from a fight, I'll feed it to him (never ones that die from parasite, ich, etc.). I love my little guy :D I'll post pics if requested.

$300!LOL oh well. I was planing to spend a good sum on a few hybrids, get a 180 and so on. wouldn't it be easier just to fish one out of a river? ok. Maybe not this summer, but still wan't basic care info.
