My personal favorite was when I saw a normal ball python in petco listed as "pretty phase python" and being sold for $200

 I saw something similiar, a normal BP at petsmart for $250 called a fancy ball python.

I was quite proud of my husband when he pointed this out to me:

For those that are clueless, the picture is of a sealion, not a seal.

I have seen a red tail payara listed as a scomb. unfortunately, I did not get it though. I have also heard stories of some really neat things coming in with imports like fiji banded iguana came in with a shipment of other lizards from asia or a diamondback terrapin that came in with a bunch of sliders.

hahaha 'pretty phase' brilliant. spose it show how ignorant ppl r when they buy pets...anyone else would surely ask.

just bought the film lol curiosity got the better of me lol

My petsmart had a snake neck turtle labeled as a red eared slider. Wish I had the money to buy it at the time...

About 15 years ago I purchased an adult male Greek Tortoise for $25 when it was labeled as a desert box turtle. Best $25 I ever spent, that guy would breed anything.

fiji island ig was probably BS, but i have seen diamonbacks for sale once when i was young

Saw a burmese python labeled ball python.... I think they fixed it tho

The ones i see all the times is at a loca lplace , always getting GTP's and labeling them green tree boas (i know not that bad) but they always house them in a dry environment and that sucks.

I bought a Stump-Toed Gecko as a House Gecko. Not a huge deal but definetaly not your average House Gecko. Also, my old Ribbon came in as a Garter, and my current Garter was labeled as a Ribbon.
