Inside a Bottle
I picked up a Juvi Chinese Softshell about 2".. I just noticed a small spot which looks like a fungal infection..

I added some salt..

Is there any other methods of treatment of fungal infections ?

Salt is going to do nothing. Terramycin or Acriflavine will. No sense in playing around with useless home remedies when you can use something that actually works.......

I was going to try terramycin or tetracycline...but wasn't sure if its safe to use on turts...

Pics coming soon...

The turt's not eating anything... I tried live tubifex and live blood.. I've even put some gupps in this tank...

The fungus is most likely not related to his lack of apetite.
Use turtle sulfa-bath. It's like 6 bucks and available at any pet shop.

You need to provide more info about his enclosure. Substrate? Filtration? Temp?

do you have a heater? and even though its a softy id put something for it to get out of the water till the fungus is gone.

Well the guy's in a tub for now.. With some fine sand to bury himself and a smooth rock which is half out of the water.. Doing daily water changes, filtration yet.. I don't think a heater is necessary cause the temp here is about 39-40+c

I think the guy is really stressed out as i got it directly from a wholesale shop the same day they arrived..

In this part of the world pet shops only stock dog and fish food..nothing else..
