Fungus (???) on my silver arowana

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'll get some pix tonight. I added some melafix and it is a bit better, but the water seems to be on the cool side (75ish). I'll bump the heat up and add some pimafix as well. as soon as I find a memory card I'll snap a pic.

thread of moderators....hehe. :)

Can we start with the "How many mods does it take to..." jokes yet? :nilly:

kidding. Honestly I have no clue. But sorry to hear it. All the good advice to try and treat it has been said already. Hope he's ok. :(

Does it look like a pimple on the hard ray of the fin?

nah, it's more of a fuzzy ball. You have to look pretty closely to see it.

recently my silver arow got what your arow seems to have. I quarantined him with high temp, melafix, and pimafix. After a few days, I realized it was loose skin. He had a nasty scrape that took off lots of skin and scales, but at first it looked like columnaris. Now he is 100% better. Even the scales grew back. Check if that is the case, and good luck.

here's a (Crappy) pic of what I'm talking about. I need to clean that glass LOL

That doesn't look to bad man. Go with your treatment plan, I think you'll sort it out.
