well if you say my other post i got 3 new rectics and one of there tails got broken well i just went down and about an inch of her tail is covered with this white fuzzy stuff...they said add salt but how much? im guessing like salt thats for saltwater tanks lol...

anyone??? i need to get it today otherwise its gonna have to wait tell monday and i dont wanna do that...the last inch of the tail is just kinda white barley see it but where it starts theres a little wring of fuzzy white stuff...

help!!!

1 tablespoon per 8 gallons of tank water should be fine.
Don't just dump it straight in the tank, pre mix it with the tank water in a container then slowly add it back to the tank :)

You can either get aquarium salt from the LFS or kosher salt from the supermarket.

thanks the tail broke again like right where the stinger ends which is where the fungus started im goin to get the salt now thanks for the help

ok i bought some salt from my lfs thats for fw and added 1tbs per 5gal but i only did half for now tomorrow im gonna do a waterchange and do atleast half or prob the full dose thanks for all the help

can you give us an update on your ray hows it doing?/:(

dude from my recent experience you need to do the whole 5 tble spn for the gallons, and water change!!!!! i changed water every morning 20% and added non-iodized salt that i bought from walmart for .38c so get to work, the tail wont grow back and that is waht makes retics beautiful! their long tails!!

ya the ray is fine...his tails healing i didnt add anymore salt since it was lookin fine... ya that does make them beatiful but i have 1 of 3 rays with a broke tail...the others have perfect tails...

hollywood...dont you have 2 rectics and a yepzi..what size tank do you got? do you use sand?
