Funny Craigslist ad

I agree but we don't know if they grew up in that tank or not. I don't think so.

Fish are extremely resilient considering what we put them through. But if they grew up in that tank without a filter (I don't see a filter, nor is it mentioned in the ad, only bubbler and light), it'd be a miracle. It's impossible. I don't believe it is possible. My guess is the owner got them from somewhere just now or someone else perhaps off the same Craigslist and is trying to turn a profit.

I will call him and offer to take them for free. See what he says. He is 2 hours from me.

You can see he had some decoration, now sitting on the bottom shelf.

...

Called him up.. He says sold the fish yesterday. The ad has been posted 20 days ago. My best guess they got sick and died on him. There'd be no way they could survive in that ammonia and nitrite soup for 19 days. EOS.

Haha.....tell em how you really feel!

Things like this just really wind me up krich. People who aren't hobbyists would say I was being hypocritical because I keep fish in a box, and to some extent they'd have a worthy argument. Hence us hobbyists always try to do the best for our fish, to compensate if you like.

But things like this, and unfortunately it's far too widespread, take the "box" to a whole new negative level. Animal rights activists jump all over stuff like this, potentially ruining the hobby for the majority of us who do actually care.

Some of these cases you see, and they pop up regularly, are so bad you just hope that someone's having a bit of a laugh. Maybe netting fish out of their 5000g pond, momentarily dropping them in a tiny tank, taking a photo, and returning them straight to their lavish home. Then posting the pic on social media for a "laugh".

That's the eternal optimist in me speaking, realistically that is not the case at all. These idiots are for real.

Anyway, in truth I was being kind calling them w*nkers, what I really think of them I cannot print, even changing letters for symbols. Lol.

I can't argue with any of that...agreed wholeheartedly.
