I can see it now. A bunch of guys out on a beach in camo trying to kill birds. haha!DeLgAdO said:the term sniper originated from this bird
this bird is very illusive and hard to spot.
back in the day in england if you could stalk and kill one of these you where considered a true "sniper".

So i asked him "do you have a freshwater, or saltwater fishtank?" and his reply was "I dont know"...it took all my might not to smack that man... ive dealt with more people like that then i like to admit....

WyldFya said:I used to work for an Ace hardware, and we had a customer come in looking to make there own filter for an aquarium. The part they needed from me was the hosing and the pump itself. I took them over to the hose and they wanted the pretty stuff that was orange... Crude oil rubber gas line.Anyway half an hour later and a lot of talking, they ended up getting 1.5" vinyl tubing.
Next on to the pumps. They wanted to make sure that this "canister would have enough power to push the water through, and to keep a good water current. They wanted something that did at least 2500 gallons per hour!!! I showed them what we had that had that high a rating for minor load, and 4' lift, a 3/4 hp utility pump. I then decided I better inquire what size the tank was expecting some ungodly 300 gallon tank. nope 15 gallon tank. I don't know about any of you but with a light load at 2500 g/h seems a little high. I told them that the flow rate was a little high for that size tank, well that wasn't good enough for them, so they bought the pump.
The last inquiry I made before washing my hands of it was to find out what the canister was going to be made of. A freaking butter tub container. Good thing I got commissions. That poor tank probably ended up with no water in it, and the filter probably exploded, and the fish dead on the floor. Apparently no one decided to mention when DiYing that you have to have some form of common sense!
