i just noticed my dat doing this this morning. he will be swimming around the tank like normal, they he'll rub his body against the sand. he does it once or twice and then swims off. i've seen him do it maybe 4 times in the last hour i've been sitting here.

can be a number of reasons, irritation to gills, early signs of ich...
or sometimes fish just do it, but if they do it a lot I take it as a bad sign.

Its normal all tigers do it apart from NGT not ick/white spot

their is no need to treat it with anything all tigers do it :screwy:

nah forget it treat it if you want but they will still rub

you better tell this guy he needs to treat his tank for ick/white spot as well its plain to see in this video his tigers rubbing

+1. theres also some threads on here about tigers doing that. i dont know about you guys, but i like a good scratch on my back once in a while. feels good :naughty:

You shouldn't just assume its ick and treat the water. However, rubbing regularly does usually indicate some type of irritant.

None of my Dats rub regularly. I see one flick on something once in a blue moon.
