Id do a big water change prior to dosing. That way you can keep the fish in a good amount of antibiotic in the water. Frequent water changes can result in lower concentrations of the med and redosing. You can still do the frequent water changes as long as ur comfortable with redosing of the furan2.

For what its worth; if the noted fish is simply nursing some variety of injury,
clean water and maybe a slime coat stimulator such as salt or a commercial product might be a better choice.

thanks for your replies. and Tex is doing SOOOO much better. I believe shell be a lil deformed but other then that shes eating swimming coming up to the glass more. I believe shes gonna make it. I started with a breeder bag bc it was not planned [her attack] she was in the bag for bout 1 week and then i placed her in my 3 gallon which shes been in during her treatment, but i just got my hands on a 10 gallon so trying my best to get it cycled so she has more room until i can TRY to move her back-idk how her company will take it;but i can say they were really good together until Velvet trie breeding w her and he messed her up really bad so bad the other fish was going at her....SMH im so relieved we were able to save her-i say save her[not that shes healed yet] but bc weve been able to keep her alive and going for 3 weeks now. Thanks for everyones help and opinions!!!
