I already have an idea how to slow down the flow.
I will also do water change twice a week or three times
If needed. Power head is off the tank already.

There's two ac110 cause I have one just sitting around and this will be good so I can get the bio goin if I setup another tank at home.

Which ones to get, wild or f1's? I have a Lfs that specializes in discus and I have an onlie vendor to get it from.

Any opinions would be good...

Dont get wilds if youre a fist timer.
1. they have diseases
2. they are picky about food
3. they can be more shy

go for F1 or the strains available.

as for the filtration, i run a marineland biowheel 200 and a eheim canister 2213 on a 55gallon.

I did notice that my discus never stay at the side where there is the waterfall effect from the HOB filter. so i can attest to the fact that they don't like the strong current.
