My love for lionfish was recently awakened lol. anyways, i know that a volitan lion will get too large for my 55gal not to mention it would eat my smaller fish and shrimp as it grew. i has a fuzzy dwarf before i moved and it was a great fish. always swimming around when i was near the tank, great appatite, and fun to watch cuz his favorite perch was some floating seaweed that was infront of the filter outflow. currently i have a yellow tang, 2 percula/ ocellaris clowns (not sure on sp. sold as perc's but cant be too sure), a blue damsel, and 2 peppermint shrimp which i know will be food but i have a 20gal for them. the blue damsel and the clowns are wat im worried about though. they are 1.5-2" long and i wasnt sure if a fuzzy dwarf would try to eat them eventually. also, how long would the fuzzy dwarf be ok in my 20gal. id rather start a little one off in there.

thanks

Mine could never catch the damselfish but the clowns are much slower swimmers.

My dwarf ate my fire fish, damsels, lawnmower blenny, killed my shrimp, all of them, and now he wont leave my snow flake eel alone.

Wow Justin, Didn't you ever feed that thing?

I over fed that thing lol, but yea, it must of been because he was in a small tank, he was in a 10 gallon with those fish, but he was kinda small, bumped up to a 55 gallon hex. Lookin pretty sweet.

ok thanks guys. unfortunatly i had a bad ich breakout in my tank last weekend and i hospital tanked all my fish but couldnt save them :(. im left with only one clownfish from my 55gal. im goin to move him into my 20gal if he survives. its at the bottom of the tank now, ich's gone but it just sits there gaspin been there since last night. idk if hes goin to make it. i did a huge water change and cleaned out everything though so i hope the tanks alright now. definately gettin the dwarf fuzzy when i can. im devastated by the loss of my fish but i really didnt like the stockin at all (my mom's idea) and this whole thing made me realize that i should be keeping stuff that i like cuz i do everything anyways. so im takin back control of my tank and gettin the lionfish and no more small colorful fish that i dont like.

how would the lion do with a bicolored psuedochromis? i have one as the sole inhabitant of my 20gal and it is quite aggressive once established so i think it could hold its own and do fine with the lion.
