Fuzzy wood

fish in.
Fuzz dissapeared overnight. Plecos and yoyo's went to town on that stuff lol!

Now I have a giant pile of pleco poo to vacuum up

I'd keep an eye on that wood. Sometimes it can deteriorate and make a mess.

It's not the wood. That fuzz is mostly a snack for grazers, it is harmless in a well-filtered system. A large water change or two should be all you need (aside from the usual cycling protocol). If it were my tank and fish, I'd put the fuzzy wood into my pleco tank and let them have at it.

Agreed but I just removed the wood because I just didn't like the looks of the stuff and I don't have any Plecos and this is a piece that I have had for years....
