FW Bumblebee Grouper update

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think it is a HUGE commentary on keeping these fish in freshwater that they only reach 30".

These fish are supposed to reach SIX FEET.

Keeping Bumblebee Groupers in freshwater IS STUNTING.

its not a dwarf at all, they get 8 feet in the wild, epinephalus lanceolatus. however, even at the farms or public aquarium over 100000 gallons of water, they usually slow to 5 feet or less over 10 years of growth. in a farm that breeds them, state they reach about 40" over 4 years and slow down drastically, they do gain much girth during that time.

certainly 30" is a baby, but who says its not growing anymore or anything about it being stunted? its only a few years old.

some updated pics on this grouper and the panther grouper you have as well pls!

Okay it probably takes about a decade for that fish to get that big, and sorry I had it confused for another species, I would still like to see updated pics of this fish...

Has anyone tried a freshwater Tiger grouper?

I know this is not technically a freshwater fish , but you got to admit it is the cooleat thing you can put in a freshwater aquaria congrats great fish
