FW clam?

I saw a FW clam on live aquaria and was wondering if I could really keep one in my tank?

Yep.
I have three.
Would have gotten more if i know how small they actually were.

Just keep them away from juvie crayfish, i once saw 3 baby crays working together to pry one open.

I only have one now

I want to put one in my planted cichlid tank. Would it be fine? And do they need a strong light like SW clams and what would I feed it?

Well, that depends on the ciclid i think... i would ask the cicilid guys.
I just have normal T8 fluorescent bulbs nothing special.

I've never really fed mine, There's enough stuff in the water column for mine... might depend on how long your tank has been running
