whatever tank i decide i will more than likely put an eggcrate tile down before the rocks and sand/gravel so nothing can slide. i have used this technique in a few of my cichlid tanks over the years and it has worked great.
and i might be back to my original idea of the bio cube... my lfs is now having a sale where if you buy a bio cube, you get the stand for free. so might do that
