FW Tarpon Help!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i grew mine from 8" to like now 16" .... i would say mine is an exception to the norm, because mine tends to swim against the front glass instead of normally... so mine has a scratched up chin ..... mine eats massivore ....

i dunno if im mistaken or wat, but if u r trying to put it with a jardini, then good luck. i wouldnt do that if i were u. tarpon r very mellow fish, should only be kept with fish that doesnt bother them.

No I was going to sell the tarpon to get the jardini. But thanks for the information. I am one of those people that get tired of fish fast except for the occasional one that I really like. So when I go to the LFS I tend to :nilly: lol

Awesome thanks for the pictures. I am almost positive they are atlantis tarpons by those pictures. So thats probably not what I want from what you guys said lol.

Okay I looked at the pictures again and I am thinking that they are indos. The ones I am looking at had very big mouths and a more slender body. So I am thinking that would be the indo lol. I am going nuts with this lol. They want 199.99 a piece for them but told me they would make a deal since they cant sell them so I dont want to make a huge mistake lol.

question. how big of a tank are these fish going into?

Right now where I would be getting them they are in a 72. I would put them in a 125 and move them in a couple months. I am not someone to keep a fish that is way too big for my tank for long. I just need something to hold me over until I can find a jardini lol. But I honestly will move them in about 2 months so I hope I am not going to bashed for that lol.

I don't under stand the point of getting a fish that you can't take proper care of for longer then a few months

Then there is nothing that I can say to get you to understand. I said I would be moving the fish after a short period of time. There is nothing wrong with that if I am moving them to a bigger tank. I just like to have fish that I like to fish for. I like to see them swim around for awhile and move on.
