Just with in the past week my fx-5 started making a gurgling noise does any one have an idea what it could be?

I have had and FX5 now for about 3 years. When mine starts to make gurgling it is because the filter media is getting clogged. I think what is actually making the noise is an air pocket is being to form somewhere in the cansister, im not sure of this, but I do know once I clean it up, its all quiet again.
cool ill try that again, i cleaned it when it starter but it didnt do a thing. ill try again though
Is it blowing out air bubbles from the outtake. When I was using the blue pads and they got clogged mine would do that so had to clean them. Got tired of cleaning them once a week so took them out.

i just cleaned the hell out of the pads on thursday and its still making the noise im gonna do a wc today and take it apart again
One other thing I forgot to mention. When I clean mine and start it back up again, it does makes some noise for maybe a day, until all the little air bubbles work themselves out. Not sure if that is what you are hearing, but thought I would mention it.
hey. I have a 210 fw with an fx5. do you guys add aeration into the tank? I do have the output pointing to the surface making nice ripples but am curious if that's enough?
