your water changes grossly inadequate.. due to situation beyond my control i have 2 pacu in a 50 gallon tank, one is 10 inches the other is about 6-7. i ordered their 350 gallon tank 3 months ago and i haven't gotten it delivered yet. i found that with regular feeding once a day, no more than they could eat in 2-3 minutes, the nitrates in the tank would go from below 20 to above 60 on the api kit in literally a day or two. so i am changing 50% of the water twice a day. a 125g with bigger and more stock even 50% is not enough per week.
