FX5 blowing a ton of bubbles

It has been doing this for two days after I just cleaned it. It was doing it for a few days before I cleaned it too. Is it time to replace the sponges?? It is almost a year old.

You don't use polishing pads? Like, the ones that come with the Fx5? weird. That's what I would recommend replacing if you had them.

Is your intake breathing air at all do you hear any noise other than water from the intake?

tcarswell-thats what I was thinking as well-air going in the intake...or maybe it might have to be primed (not sure if you can do this on the fx5)

The Fx5 would make a ton of noise if the water level got low enough within the canister for the pump to suck in air.

What media are you using?

What kinda of bubbles? Micro Bubbles or air stone type bubbles? Micro bubbles are so small that can almost cloud the water.
