FX5 flow direction?

let us all know, based on your filter setup; how are things coming a long.

by having the media packed, like that...not only are you decreasing performance of the fx5, also having to perform more frequent maintenance and if you start to get lazy; nitrate factory.

actually its for a 70 gallon tank. so even if the performance is decrease, it is still an overkill (i hope).

I clean the FX5 once every 2 weeks, is that sufficient?

You probably don't need to clean it every 2 weeks. I clean mine every 2 or 3 months. And I have a huge bioload.
