Agree. But if you plan on upgrading tank size down the line, you could already have a seeded FX5 ready to go. That's really the only reason it would make sense.
I see a lot of posts lately about really really extreme filtration systems, and I just wonder if you have to go to such lengths to keep your tank stable, maybe it's time to get a bigger tank or get rid of some fish. But I know some guys love the JDM tanks.

absolutely!even when you upgrade a big hob and a couple of big sponge filters can do the same thing as an fx5 on a 125...but if you have the bucks it can be fun to say "i got an fx5"
