Thx for the pics! Also if any of you have sand, whats a good height level for the intake? Obviously i dont want to place it too low. What is a good level for the intake placement without sucking up the beach?

Depends on your sand. If it's PFS or a medium to heavy grain size about 2" above the sand is fine. Keep in mind the default "strainer" over the intake will put you another 4" or so above the sand just from it's height. If you not using the default "strainer" or have really fine sand I would in the area 6"-8" above the sand. I have both and operate mine a little lower. It's just my preference but the above is a safe bet.

When do we get pics of your project and what your trying to do? Now you got me curious.. :D

@Jgray152 what shakin bro, have not seen you around in a while. Glad to see you back ;)

Appreciate the info! I have PFS in my tank. Everything will be stock except just changing the hose. I wont have any splits or anything like how you have in yours. Even when setting up my wet/dry i am planning on using some other type of hosing rather then using the ones that came with it. As far as the wetdry hose, ive heard a few stories of the hose tearing pretty fast. I rather just be safe than sorry.
