I may have found the issue. The polishing pad that I forgot I put in seems to be plugged up . DOes anyone else use polishing pads or can I avoid using these ?
that's what I thought. I hope that will solve the problem . I also found a little bit of sand in the bottom so maybe I should pull the impeller out and see if there is sand in there also . My kraussi does a good job of breaking stuff . Ever since he passed the 10 inch mark he seems to enjoy wrecking his habitat .
Check to make sure the impeller spins freely. Sometimes they'll start to rust and won't spin correctly.

Polishing pads are ok to use as long as you replace them every now and then. If you still got the impeller assembly out, applying some silicone grease on it would help a little. If not, maybe on next maintenance
