The Real Norcal
and I have no idea why.I adjusted the intake and output today just slightly and then changed the water.now my FX5 is shooting out very fine bubbles that pretty much make my tank look like a snow globe.light swishing sounds coming from inside, probably the bubbles (wherever they're coming from) hitting the being ground into a million pieces by the impeller.

all this maybe a half hour after I accidentally dropped my AC 110 on the floor and smashed it!!:nilly: :nilly:

I just bought the fricken thing a month ago, someone please help?!!:nilly: :nilly:

Check the intakes again they are prob. not air tight (had the same issue)
I had to replace my intakes, made some new ones.

Goodluck

try letting the air out by gentky taking the out flow pipe not off but ease it up until you hear the air comming out when you think its all out push it back on make sure it clcks turn off then restart wait till it resets itself this usually does the trick

probably an air pocket under the cover or in one of the tubes
have the same problem with my xp4

It was the micro polishing pads.I was using three of them in tray two and they were clogged up I guess. Not sure how they were making bubbles but I saw someone recommend checking for clogged media in a similar thread so I tried it and removed the polishing pads and it stopped.:headbang2

I dont run pads in my FX5, just because they clog so easily, only down fall of the FX5 I have found...

well I must have moved something around that was causing it or otherwise bumped something because it stopped for almost 24 hours after removing the micro polishing pads but it is back again strong as ever.:irked:

I have checked and rechecked and I don't know whats causing it.I took the impeller apart like a week or so ago partly to clean but mostly just to see how it came apart...probably not it but I will check it and see if maybe I put it back on in such a way that allows for a minor air leak.:nilly:

otherwise I'm left with what, buying new hoses?

My guess is that its not the hose but the clamps. Not sure what its called but theres a thin tape like substance that plumbers use on the threads of their screws for a better fit, this might stop the air leak...
