I received the FX5 with the outer sponges on each layer, now for what specifically to put into the trays? Are you guys recommending just ceramic rings for each level?
What about the White polishing pads or the blue fine filter pads? No good? Crushed coral no good to help buffer? If so what tray?
This is my 3rd canister filter on my 180 tank. I have two Eheim pro 3's and I am just bolstering my line up to make it just that much nicer and clearer for the guys in the tank.
