If fx5 only will prob need 2 .. I run two fx5's With all pond matrix in the trays and the stock sponges... And I run a ac110 with filter pads for polishing.. But your best bet is a large sump or 1 fx5 and a sump would be great
I use both sump and FX5... If by chance one fails you have a backup. The FX5 is also designed for the EURO Bracing you have on the top of your tank (The 4 inch lip around the top).
My DIY stand may not have enough room for a sump. Only have two access doors. I will probably run a fx5 an maybe my Aquatop 500. Should I run the same in each filter or mix it up?
