I didn't like the low pressure so I went and got a 90 degree elbow to replace it and it pretty much doubled the pressure. Only downfall to that is after awhile they will fall off so I need to use rubber bands to keep them on and every once in awhile I need to replace the rubber bands.
Really the only other thing I don't like is when you take the hose off to clean it you need to use a towel because it always spills some water.

Did you get 30ppi in that shape or just random shape that you wedged in to fit?
Eheims are great for bio but if you need a lot of flow the FX5 kicks their asses.

Yeah, I hate that too. I have two on the tank in my bedroom and it drives me nuts that even that little bit of fish water ends up on the carpet.
I wonder if maybe turning the dials to stop the flow then using the purge valve a bit would lead to a low enough water level that it wouldn't do that.
At my last place I used the purge valve a few times to empty the tank, but once I realized I could just run two pythons simultaneously into the shower drain that ended up being way faster.
When I get around to setting up my 220 properly I'm going to have 2 FX5s on it and will T off the return on one of them with a ball valve I can use for emergency draining through the 1" hose. I figure that'll be nice and quick. Right now it's set up in such a way that I can only reach the tank with one python, which just takes absolutely forever to drain it.
